Hi friends! 👋🏼👋🏼 . Due to some health issues I’ve developed in the last year, my meat consumption has had to get extremely limited. As a result, I’m working toward more vegetarian and vegan eating for some of my meals. . I’m looking for blogs, recipes, books, etc. that any of you who are plant-based eaters know and love. (I do not eat soy either, so can’t use that as a substitute.) I’ve never been interested in eating like this before because, let’s face it, meat is my favorite food group. But if avoiding most of it means keeping myself healthy and giving my body what it needs, then that’s what I’ll do. . Autumn is my favorite season. I love the crisp air and the changing leaves. Tank tops get traded for comfy sweaters and knee boots replace flats. Hot drinks warm chilled fingers and the whole atmosphere changes. 🍁🍂 • Today was all about self care. Mom and I drove to Duluth to grab special batch cherry beer from Fitger’s Brewhouse. Got some balsamic vinegars from Duluth Kitchen Company. I’ve had more pantsless cupcake days than Peloton days lately. Am I proud of this? Not really, because I had a great, balanced routine going. Am I beating myself up over it? Absolutely not. • As women, we’re constantly told we have to look a certain way, act a certain way, do certain things. And if we don’t? Society beats us up and we’re expected to feel guilty. My opinion on this? F-u, society. • Life truly is all about balance. And right now, I’m a little off balance, but with some self-care and mindfulness and goal setting, I know it won’t be long before I’m back in the routine I established. • Life is short. Eat the cupcake. 😉
